Frequently Asked

Answers to the questions we hear most from community leaders, educators, and civic organizations.

No. BDUSA is strictly nonpartisan. We do not endorse candidates, parties, or political platforms of any kind. Our work is pastoral in spirit — grounded in Christian stewardship and the conviction that every person deserves dignity and belonging, regardless of their political views. We welcome participants from every background and belief.
Workshop fees vary based on group size, location, and program type. BDUSA is committed to making civic healing accessible — we offer sliding-scale pricing for nonprofits, faith communities, and underserved areas. Contact us and we'll find an arrangement that works for your community and budget.
For our standard workshops, BDUSA provides a trained facilitator. If you want to lead sessions yourself, we offer a Facilitator Training program that certifies community members to run Civic Listening Labs independently. Training takes approximately one full day and includes the complete CARE protocol, run-of-show materials, and ongoing support.
Absolutely. While BDUSA is grounded in Christian faith, our programs are designed to be welcoming to people of all beliefs and backgrounds. The CARE protocol and RDT framework are universal — they work because they honor the dignity of every person, not because they require any particular religious commitment. We have run programs in secular schools, civic organizations, and interfaith settings.
The Civic Listening Lab works best with 12–18 people for a single facilitator. With additional facilitators, sessions can scale to 100+ participants. The sweet spot for deep relational work is 20–40 people — large enough for diverse perspectives, small enough for genuine connection. We'll help you design the right format for your community's size.
Civic Bridge Builder certification is BDUSA's facilitator credential. It involves a one-day training covering the CARE protocol, the RDT Loop, facilitation techniques, ethics and safety procedures, and hands-on practice. Certified Bridge Builders can independently run Civic Listening Labs, Common Table Meals, and Neighbor Projects in their own communities. Certification is renewed annually.
